General Information

Trisodium citrate, a salt or ester of citric acid with a chemical formula Na3C6H5O7, is the tribasic salt of citric acid. They are found as white, granular crystals or white crystalline powder. While the water solubility can be observed easily, they are insoluble in ethanol. It is chemically stable under normal conditions when stored under normal conditions. It can be biodegradable and disposed of with regular waste and sewage water according to regional laws.

It can be produced as a result of the complete neutralization process of high purity sodium sourced citric acid and subsequent crystallization.

Usage areas

food
Ph control in food, aroma balance, to give flexibility to the cheese, ice cream in the oil globules to prevent the adhesion of each other, is used to help retain the carbonization.

Medicine
In the pharmaceutical industry, anti-plaque, as anticoagulating agent, is used as calcium complexing agent.

Detergent
It is used to rapidly react with other chemicals by biodegrading and replacing with phosphates.

It is used as a release agent in metal coating.

It is used as blowing and nucleating agent in plastic products during production.
